The 2026 edition of TechCrunch Disrupt brought together a cohort of 200 startups selected from a much larger pool of applicants. Each company represented distinct innovations across multiple sectors. The three-day event gave these founders a platform to present their work and compete for recognition and funding.

From the broader group, five finalists emerged to compete for the top prize. Intero Biosystems secured the $100,000 equity-free award and the Disrupt Cup, while Apate finished as the strong runner-up.

Spirit of Disrupt award

Shogher Atanesyan, founder and CEO of Ardook Data, received the Spirit of Disrupt award by unanimous decision. Her path to the Startup Battlefield 200 began in 2023 when she volunteered at Disrupt. The following year, she requested that organizers establish "Social Impact" as a dedicated category in the event app—a suggestion they implemented. Shortly after, she submitted her own application and was accepted based on the merits of her concept: capturing real-world household training data from a compensated caregiver network for sale to physical AI and robotics companies.

Atanesyan distinguished herself through exceptional generosity over five years of Startup Battlefield 200 management. She recruited and coordinated dozens of student volunteers to staff startup booths, arranged shipments to her residence to avoid expensive logistics costs, and hosted a gathering for participating founders at her home. She also provided ongoing support to founders through the community Discord channel and weekly meetings.

Beyond competition mechanics, the Startup Battlefield functions as a venue for building connections among investors, prospective customers, and fellow entrepreneurs who can support each other throughout their ventures.

The 2026 winners and participants demonstrated the caliber of innovation driving the industry forward. Organizers thanked judges and sponsors for enabling TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 to succeed.
