The company constructs subterranean tunnel systems intended to transport passengers and vehicles while alleviating surface-level congestion. Its Vegas Loop system already operates beneath Las Vegas. This funding round valued the company at $23 billion and brings cumulative funding to approximately $3.9 billion.

2. Cognition — $2 Billion

San Francisco-headquartered Cognition completed a $2 billion Series E funding round led by Accel, Andreessen Horowitz, Avenir, Founders Fund, and General Catalyst. The startup gained prominence through Devin, an autonomous agent designed to handle software engineering tasks independently. Cognition represents one of numerous well-capitalized startups wagering that AI agents will progressively assume responsibility for complex development and coding responsibilities. The company now carries a $48 billion valuation and has accumulated nearly $3.9 billion in total funding.

3. Motive — $1.3 Billion

Motive, operating from San Francisco, secured $1.3 billion through a private equity funding round spearheaded by General Catalyst. Previously operating under the name KeepTruckin, Motive provides an AI-powered platform serving trucking, construction, and other physical-sector enterprises for fleet oversight, driver safety monitoring, and operational automation. This investment brings Motive's cumulative funding to just above $2 billion.

4. Stoke Space — $1 Billion

Kent, Washington-based Stoke Space announced a $1 billion Series E round co-led by Point72 Ventures and Spark Capital, with Y Combinator also investing. The aerospace company focuses on developing fully reusable rockets, including its Nova launch vehicle, to reduce expenses associated with orbital transportation of satellites and cargo. The round valued Stoke Space at $10 billion and brings total funding to roughly $2.4 billion, contributing to record-breaking space technology investment levels this year.

5. Suniva — $835 Million

Norcross, Georgia-based Suniva raised $835 million from Electron Capital Partners, OIC, and Rubric Capital Management. The established U.S. solar manufacturer specializes in high-efficiency solar cell production and intends to deploy the capital toward expanding domestic manufacturing operations, including a new South Carolina facility that would increase manufacturing capacity by more than fourfold. Suniva's total funding to date reaches nearly $1.2 billion.

6. Mach Industries — $600 Million

Huntington Beach, California-based Mach Industries completed a $600 million Series C round supported by Ribbit Capital and Sequoia Capital. Established in 2022, the company manufactures unmanned aircraft, extended-range weaponry, propulsion systems, and manufacturing infrastructure for defense applications. 10. Celero Communications — $275 Million

Laguna Beach, California-based Celero Communications secured $275 million in a Series C round led by Atreides Management, CapitalG, and Valor Equity Partners. The company produces coherent digital signal processor technology enabling efficient data movement between chips and data centers while minimizing power consumption—an increasingly vital consideration as AI infrastructure scales. The round valued Celero Communications at $3 billion and brings cumulative funding to roughly $413.4 million.

10. Encoded Therapeutics — $275 Million

South San Francisco-based Encoded Therapeutics raised $275 million in a Series F round led by Google Ventures, with Arch Venture Partners, Janus Henderson Investors, and Venrock also investing. The clinical-stage biotech company develops targeted genetic medicines addressing severe neurological conditions, with its primary therapeutic candidate focused on Dravet syndrome, a rare genetic form of epilepsy. Encoded Therapeutics has accumulated $514.1 million in total funding.
