Solink Corp., a video intelligence platform, announced it has secured over $100 million in new funding to accelerate development of its AI-driven camera analytics technology.

Founded in Ottawa in 2009 as a cloud video surveillance provider, Solink has evolved into an AI-powered system that extracts actionable insights from security cameras already deployed by retailers, restaurants and warehouse operators. The platform currently processes feeds from approximately 500,000 cameras across more than 35,000 customer sites spanning 65 countries.

The company has been rolling out new capabilities in recent months. In February, Solink introduced AI agents designed for perimeter security and loss prevention that operate on edge devices without requiring proprietary camera hardware. The following month, it enhanced its VerifEye command center—a tool for security operations centers—by integrating vision language models aimed at reducing false alarms before security personnel review them.

Co-founder and Chief Executive Mike Matta characterized the current environment as a "watershed moment" for physical businesses. According to Matta, "Nobody should need to watch footage to know what is happening inside a business." The fresh capital will enable Solink to help customers minimize losses and identify revenue opportunities using their existing camera infrastructure.

Vertu Capital, a Toronto-based private equity firm, led the funding round. Goldman Sachs Group Inc. participated through its Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives division, which had previously led the company's $60 million Series C funding in July 2023. New investors Golub Growth and Comcast Ventures also joined the round.

Eric Kafka, a partner at Vertu Capital, described AI vision intelligence as "one of the most significant opportunities in software today," noting that Solink has demonstrated the strategic vision and operational capability to establish this emerging category. Mike Reilly, a managing director in Goldman's growth equity group, said the firm's decision to participate again was driven by strong customer adoption and Solink's product development trajectory.

Solink did not reveal the valuation assigned in this round or provide specifics on strategic initiatives the company plans to fund with a portion of the capital. Cumulative investor commitments to the company now exceed $198 million.
