Prepared Secures $80M to Scale AI Emergency Response Tools Across U.S. Public Safety
The startup has raised $80 million in Series C funding to expand its artificial intelligence platform that assists 911 call centers and emergency services across nearly 1,000 agencies nationwide.

Prepared, which develops AI-powered tools for emergency response systems, announced an $80 million funding round today. The capital will support faster development and broader deployment of its assistive AI platform, help the company reach additional public safety agencies, and fund improvements to capabilities including real-time translation, automated call triage and quality assurance systems.
Since its founding in 2019, Prepared has built technology to modernize emergency response infrastructure throughout the United States. The platform currently serves more than 1,000 public safety agencies across 49 states, supporting emergency response operations that protect approximately 100 million people through AI solutions tailored specifically for 911 call centers and emergency services.
The Prepared system orchestrates the entire emergency response process, beginning when a call arrives and continuing through dispatch and post-call analysis. By consolidating capabilities such as automated triage, real-time translation and location services into a unified interface, the platform enables 911 operators and emergency services personnel to make faster, more accurate decisions.
Key Platform Features
Automated Non-Emergency Triage represents one significant capability, filtering out non-urgent calls to allow 911 centers to concentrate resources on life-threatening emergencies. Assistive Call-Taking, another important tool, transcribes and translates incoming calls simultaneously, enabling rapid response when callers are unable to communicate effectively in English or face language barriers.
"Any 911 call could be someone's worst moment," said Chief Executive Michael Chime. "At Prepared, our mission is to help ensure every emergency, every worst moment, gets a perfect response."
Funding Details
General Catalyst Group Management led the Series C round, with participation from returning backers Andreessen Horowitz and First Round Capital LP, alongside new investor Radical Ventures LP.
"Prepared is using applied AI in the real world, where the stakes are literally life and death," said General Catalyst partner Mark Crane. "Equally important, they're supporting 911 operators who help citizens in their most difficult moments. The mission aligns closely with our work in sectors like healthcare and defense."
The latest round brings Prepared's total funding to approximately $135.2 million, according to Tracxn data.
