Kevin Mandia's AI-powered security startup Armadin closes $255.5M Series B at $2.5B valuation
The Mandiant founder's latest venture, which uses autonomous agent swarms to continuously test enterprise defenses, has now raised over $445 million in total funding.

Kevin Mandia, the entrepreneur behind Mandiant's $5.4 billion sale to Google in 2022, has secured $255.5 million in Series B funding for Armadin, his new cybersecurity venture, according to an announcement made Thursday. The round values the company at more than $2.5 billion.
Andreessen Horowitz and Accel led the funding round, with participation from Bain Capital Ventures, Redpoint, 8VC, Ballistic Ventures, Google Ventures, In-Q-Tel, Kleiner Perkins, and Menlo Ventures.
The investment arrives six months after Armadin completed a $190 million Series A round in March. Combined with the new capital, the startup has now accumulated more than $445 million in total funding.
Armadin's approach to enterprise security departs from conventional penetration testing methods. Rather than hiring external teams to attempt breaches and document vulnerabilities, the platform deploys autonomous agent swarms that operate continuously, chaining multiple weaknesses together to simulate attacks. The strategy aims to enable organizations to identify and remediate security gaps before threat actors—or potentially rogue AI systems—can exploit them.
