Flow Engineering Lands $50M Series B as Valar, Atreides and Sequoia Back Hardware AI Platform
The San Francisco startup, which uses artificial intelligence to streamline hardware design workflows, has reached a $750 million valuation with backing from prominent venture and hedge fund investors.

Flow Engineering, which develops artificial intelligence tools for the hardware design sector, announced Wednesday that it has closed a $50 million Series B funding round, valuing the company at $750 million.
The financing was jointly led by Antonio Gracias, who heads Valar Equity Partners—a firm recognized for backing Elon Musk-affiliated ventures including SpaceX—and Gavin Baker of Atreides Management, a hedge fund with its own track record investing in Musk companies and firms like AI chipmaker Cerebras. Sequoia Capital, which had led Flow's Series A round in October of last year, also participated in this round. Individual investor Roelof Botha, a former Sequoia partner, contributed capital and has taken a seat on Flow's board.
Based in San Francisco and three years old, Flow addresses challenges inherent in hardware design through AI agents capable of automatically synchronizing CAD drawings with product specifications, simulation outputs, and additional testing data.
The company counts Anduril, Rivian, Joby Aviation, General Motors PPU (a partnership between General Motors and TWG Motorsports), RV Tech (a joint venture of Rivian and Volkswagen), and Stoke Space among its customer base.
