FieldAI Seeks $700M at $10B Valuation as Robot AI Demand Accelerates
The robotics AI startup is in advanced fundraising talks that would quintuple its valuation from last year, according to sources familiar with the matter.

FieldAI Inc., which builds artificial intelligence models for robotic systems, is in discussions to raise $700 million in new funding, according to reporting from Business Insider. The round would place the company's valuation at $10 billion, a five-fold jump from its August valuation. Sources indicate FieldAI has already executed a term sheet with prospective investors, though the identities of participating backers remain undisclosed.
The startup's existing investor base includes Bezos Expeditions, Nvidia Corp.'s NVentures fund and Intel Capital. Growth-stage funding rounds of this magnitude typically attract participation from a company's current shareholders alongside new capital sources.
The Problem FieldAI Solves
Deploying autonomous robots traditionally requires engineers to create detailed environmental maps before operation begins. This mapping process becomes increasingly burdensome at scale, particularly in large facilities. The challenge intensifies in dynamic settings such as construction zones, where conditions shift regularly and static maps quickly become obsolete, introducing substantial navigation inaccuracies.
FieldAI's technology eliminates the need for pre-built maps entirely. Its models operate without requiring GPS signals, internet connectivity or manually specified routes. This approach dramatically simplifies robot deployment and reduces the engineering overhead required to establish navigation systems, thereby lowering overall automation costs.
Adaptive Navigation and Digital Twins
The company's AI models respond dynamically to environmental conditions and potential hazards. When a robot encounters a factory section with failed lighting, for instance, the system automatically reduces speed to prevent collisions and navigation failures.
FieldAI transforms sensor data—captured through cameras, lidar, radars and other equipment mounted on industrial robots—into digital representations of deployment environments. Unlike static simulations, these digital twins receive continuous updates from real-world conditions, enhancing prediction accuracy. Customers leverage these twins to test facility modifications virtually before physical implementation and to generate training data for AI systems.
Market Reach and Partnerships
FieldAI's technology runs across diverse robotic platforms, from autonomous vehicles to humanoid systems. In March, the company partnered with Boston Dynamics Inc. to integrate support for Spot, the firm's four-legged robot, enabling industrial customers to automate inspection workflows.
The startup operates across construction, energy and government sectors with a customer base exceeding 30 organizations. As of June, FieldAI had accumulated more than $100 million in combined revenue and customer contracts. That figure has since grown to $135 million, according to the latest reporting.
