Daytona Platforms reaches unicorn status with $60M Series B from FirstMark
The agent-focused cloud infrastructure startup has now raised $91 million total, with backing from a roster of tech founders and corporate venture arms.

Daytona Platforms announced Friday it secured a $60 million Series B funding round valuing the company at $1 billion, with FirstMark Growth leading the investment. The New York-based startup has now accumulated $91 million in total funding.
Beyond FirstMark, which previously led the company's $24 million Series A in February, the latest round drew participation from a prominent group of technology executives and investors. Among them are Stripe founder Patrick Collison, Shopify CEO Tobi Lütke, Perplexity CEO Aravind Srinivas, Zoom founder Eric Yuan, Datadog CEO Olivier Pomel, Quora founder Adam D'Angelo (an OpenAI board member), and Mercor's Brendan Foody. Corporate venture units from Qualcomm Ventures, Samsung Next, and Okta Ventures also participated.
The three-year-old startup is developing cloud infrastructure tailored specifically for long-running agents, arguing that these systems require fundamentally different architectural approaches than traditional cloud services. According to founder Ivan Burazin, "Agents don't work like the long-lived services today's cloud was designed for. They spin up thousands of short, stateful jobs nobody planned in advance, and they need a cloud built for that." Daytona's platform provides agents with isolated computing environments, offering access to sandboxed versions of Linux, Windows, macOS, and GPUs alongside other services on a unified platform.
