Omnissa LLC introduced a suite of new products aimed at helping enterprises manage the rapid proliferation of AI tools across their organizations. The announcements, made at the company's Omnissa ONE 2026 conference in Orlando, include artificial intelligence agents for IT administrators and virtual desktop users, a managed cloud PC service, and Omnissa Elara, a governance platform for AI oversight.

The product rollout addresses what Omnissa describes as an accelerating challenge: employees are adopting AI applications faster than IT departments can evaluate and approve them. According to the company's State of Digital Workspace 2026 report, AI assistant app usage across enterprise endpoints surged nearly 1,000% during 2025, with approximately three-quarters of that growth driven by unapproved tools.

Omnissa Chief Product Officer Bharath Rangarajan emphasized that AI "is compressing the distance between insight and action." He stressed that organizations must gain visibility into AI operations and establish controls before granting systems greater autonomy.

AI Agents for IT Operations

Three agents are designed specifically for IT administrators. The Digital Employee Experience agent tackles troubleshooting by identifying the underlying cause of user problems and suggesting remedies drawn from existing playbooks or prior Workspace ONE Assist interactions.

The Windows App Lifecycle agent automates application packaging, a process that remains largely manual across many organizations, and validates each application before administrators review it. A third agent integrates with Workspace ONE Vulnerability Defense, Omnissa's vulnerability remediation tool launched in the previous year.

Within Vulnerability Defense, this agent categorizes vulnerabilities by severity and readies patches while maintaining human oversight before any deployment occurs. Omnissa noted that large language models are accelerating vulnerability discovery, and the window between flaw identification and active exploitation has compressed to under one day, making rapid patching essential for IT teams.

Omnissa is also enabling third-party agents on its platform. Administrators can integrate external agent tools through a new hosted server based on the Model Context Protocol, with access restricted by the administrator's existing role and permissions.

Virtual Desktop and Cloud PC Offerings

On the virtual desktop front, Horizon Delegate operates within an employee's Horizon virtual machine and executes tasks using that worker's approved identity and permissions. Tasks can continue executing even after the employee logs off.

Omnissa Cloud PC represents the company's desktop-as-a-service offering, which Omnissa operates and manages directly. The service bundles compute infrastructure with Omnissa's endpoint management capabilities and digital employee experience tools.

AI Governance with Elara

Omnissa Elara serves as the governance component of today's announcements. The company positions it as "the authority layer" for AI governance and significant enterprise actions. Elara aggregates signals from systems that typically operate independently, enabling IT and security leaders to monitor how AI applications, models, and agents are deployed. Policies tied to business conditions can be enforced before consequential actions execute.

Phil Hochmuth, research vice president for endpoint management and enterprise mobility at International Data Corp., commented that "Autonomously managing, securing and monitoring the end-user workspace is now a requirement for enterprise IT, as AI takes on more responsibility across the business. IT leaders need clear visibility into human and AI-driven activity, along with the controls to govern actions at machine speed."

Availability and Infrastructure

Omnissa has not announced specific availability dates for the new products. Cloud PC will initially launch on Amazon Web Services Inc., with support for additional cloud providers planned for the future. Omnissa was established as an independent company in 2024 following Broadcom Inc.'s acquisition of VMware Inc. and its subsequent sale of the end-user computing division to KKR & Co. Inc. for $4 billion.
