Copado Inc., which provides low-code DevOps solutions built for Salesforce, unveiled an expansion of its Agentia platform today. The new Headless capability integrates the platform's agentic AI capabilities directly into the development environments and command-line interfaces where engineers spend their time.

Agentia functions as Copado's artificial intelligence-driven AgentOps platform, enabling development teams to orchestrate the full software lifecycle—planning, building, testing and deploying code—across Salesforce ecosystems. The Headless extension uses Model Context Protocol and command-line interfaces to embed this functionality into independent development editors and terminals.

By bringing automation into the tools developers already use, engineers can delegate tasks to AI agents without context switching. The agents operate in the background while developers remain focused on writing code, handling governance, coordinating across teams and detecting conflicts automatically.

Copado pointed to a persistent problem in modern development: despite generating more code than ever—much of it created or enhanced by AI—significant portions never reach production. The bottleneck stems from manual overhead: ticket management, documentation work, conflict checking and release administration consume developer time that could be spent on actual coding.

The company shared several customer examples illustrating the scale of this burden. One organization calculated that two release managers spent 216 hours annually on manual pre- and post-deployment activities. Another team invested three weeks in manual regression testing before a single release could proceed to production. A third required 10 days to validate 2,000 production configurations per release cycle.

Rather than functioning as chat assistants, the Headless agents become active platform operators. They execute built-in commands across Copado's full toolset, automating governance, team coordination and conflict detection as background processes.

This shift aims to eliminate the administrative "paperwork" that slows release cycles, freeing developers to concentrate on code quality and team collaboration. Copado released the original Agentia platform in April, positioning it as Salesforce-native automation that brings development and operations teams into closer alignment around agentic AI capabilities.

Since we pioneered Salesforce-native automation, the shift from DevOps to AgentOps marks a significant evolution in software delivery that requires we reinvent the platform powering it

According to Copado, Agentia's built-in governance and testing capabilities can help enterprise teams accelerate delivery by up to 70% while simultaneously reducing production defects.
